Age 68, passed peacefully on January 18, 2017 in Halifax, after a courageous battle with lymphoma. Born in Halifax to the late Orville “Bud” Clee and Muriel Bosch. Dale leaves to mourn his two daughters Shannon Johnson (Kevin), Truro, and Kaylee Clee, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Chelsea Johnson and Keegan Johnson; sisters, Nadene Rose (David), Halifax, Lorrena Clee, Lower Sackville, Melanie Moore (Tom), Eastern Passage, Shelley Clee (Paul), Waverly. Predeceased by his parents and sisters Sharon and Debbie.
Dale was a long time resident of North End Dartmouth and had a great love for his roots there. He was a very loved member by all in the community. There was nobody he didn't seem to know.
His passions were music, mainly his love of the guitar, sports of every variety, and photography. He was a painter by trade. But most of all he was a healer of all souls. He never refused a hand held out in need. He gave light and peace and calm to those struggling. He gave laughter and love to those he knew as well as those he didn't. He was truly an angel amongst us.
He leaves behind many adopted children and grandchildren who all grieve his loss, at our sides as we say goodbye to our father, Papa smurf, Grampy Dale, Papa Dale, brother and uncle. Every name we lovingly call him. And your friend.
May he find every ounce of serenity in heaven that he brought to so many here in his life.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23rd from 7-9pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 24th at 1pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home.
