LeBlanc, David Gerard - We are sad to announce the sudden death of 'David' Gerard LeBlanc of Dartmouth, N.S. on May 9, 2016. David was born in Glace Bay, N.S. He was the son of the late Joseph and Ethel (Poirier) LeBlanc of Peel Street, Passchendaele, Glace Bay. After spending some years in Alberta and British Columbia, he returned to the province of his birth and settled in Dartmouth where he worked as a taxi driver until his death. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Grant, Edmonton, Alberta, his son, Michael LeBlanc (Katherine) Halifax and his stepdaughter, Michelle Cassie-Noble (Mike) Timberlea and step grandchildren Annamarie Noble and Kaylee Cassie. He is also survived by his brother, Bernie (Elaine), Coquitlam, B.C., his sisters Jean Doris, Chéticamp, Anna (Clifford, Sr.) Detcheverry, Glace Bay and his foster sister, Doreen (Arsenault) MacManus (deceased Terry), Antigonish, as well as many nieces and nephews and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. David was predeceased by his brothers Wilfred, Leo, Daniel George, Francis, Daniel Joseph, Arthur, and his sister, Sr. Carmella LeBlanc, SCH. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. L.
