

Roué, Dorothy "Mae" - 79, of Dartmouth, NS passed away April 6, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of Dartmouth, Mae was born in Woodside to the late Christi-Anne (Aube) and John Poirier, the seventh of nine children. Mae was a perfect homemaker, loving mother, and dedicated wife; her sweetness and kindness endeared her to all who were fortunate to know her. She was a wonderful piano player and made many of her dearest lifelong friends playing at old time dances starting as a teenager. She enjoyed travelling including many years RVing on the regional stock car racing circuit; she loved music and enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, and most recently the beauty and serenity of her own back yard. She is survived by the love of her life and loving husband of 55 years Lawrence "Laurie"; the pride of her life her daughter Joan; brother Ernie (Poirer), sisters Ida (Oickle), Anne Marie (Anderson) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Viola, Aggie, Elsie, Laura, and brother Jeff. Mae will be greatly missed by all, especially family pets Jessie and Rex. Visitation will be held today 6-8pm and Wednesday 2-4 pm in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home Portland St. Dartmouth. Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday in the Church of the Holy Spirit (Gaston Road) burial to follow, Mount Hermon Cemetery Dartmouth. Reverend Edwin Ebsary officiating.
