

Webb, Edward 89, Dartmouth passed away peacefully at the Camp Hill Hospital. Born in Nain Labrador he was raised in an Orphanage in St Anthony, Newfoundland. He served overseas in the Royal Navy from 1939 -1945. He is survived by his wife Willowdene; children Teddy, Ola (Ron Eagles), Urbane, Brenda (John Taylor), Laura, and Gus (Nancy). He was predeceased by his daughter Isabel (Jim Bailey). Ted was known as Poppy to his many grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Susan, Chesley, Millie, Harry, Edna, Ruth, and Donald; predeceased by Erik and Matilda. Edward and Willowdene moved to Dartmouth from Newfoundland in 1956 to raise a family where he earned his living as a carpenter. Throughout his life from an early age he was a dedicated Salvationist and served as an Officer in the Salvation Army. The family would like to thank the staff at V4 East Camp Hill Veterans’ Memorial Building, Q E II. Visitation will be Dec 22, from 6 -8 pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, Dartmouth. A private family burial service will follow Friday. In lieu of flowers, donations in Teds memory may be made to the Salvation Army.
