Dear Fraser,

I am really sorry to hear about the passing of your mom, she was a wonderful person who exemplified the best of what a mother should be.Wallie and I have many fond memories of hanging around your old home in Quebec City and your mom's generous hospitality ( her cooking and baking skills were legendary) and her warm and caring personality. We consider ourselves lucky for having met such a wonderful person in our lives.

She would always try to give me money and I didn;t want to take it

I have many fond memories of our high school years and the warm hospitality your parents always showed me, especially on all those weekend visits after I moved away. My condolences to you and your family.

We had the opportunity to meet Betty once every few years when she visited Ottawa. On every occasion we found it effortless to talk to her as she was always very pleasant, sincere and warm. She clearly was a very generous and caring person as she was involved with her church and charities. She was a great influence on her children and grand children and they loved and respected her. We feel sorry for their loss of such a loving family member.

My heart felt sympathies go out to all the family. I was very sad to hear the news of Betty's passing.  I have the fondest memories of Betty, such a kind and generous lady. She was a wonderful addition to the Holland Centre family. Her love and support was much appreciated and her birthday cakes filled many a happy tummy. On a very personal note, when my Mum passed away, Betty was there to support me through a very difficult time. I hope I can do the same for you.
