Matheson, Elizabeth (Betty) Marie - 78, of Bedford, N.S. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom, Betty Matheson. She passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 24, 2015, at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax. Born in Beach Meadows, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Henry & Elsie (Dexter) Fralic. Betty loved and was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She was a lover of dogs and enjoyed feeding the finches and chickadees. She loved reading, travelling and never missed an episode of Coronation Street. She is survived by her children: Danny (Sarah) McCluskey, Chicago, Ill., Linda, Dartmouth, N.S., Lance (Sherry), Riverview, N.B., and David (Amber), Taiwan, her grandchildren; Ben, Evan, Craig, Ryan, Kyle, Travis, Shane, Sarah, Morgan, Brittany and Delilah and two great-grandchildren; three sisters: Hazel Mouzar, Edith Parnell, Rosemary Decker, all of Brooklyn, N.S. three brothers: Clayton Fralic, Port Mouton, N.S., Aubrey Fralic, Brooklyn, N.S., Murray Fralic, Clarence, N.S., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Matheson, brothers; Percy and Douglas, sisters; Beatrice and Gloria. A small service for family & friends will be held in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Bide Awhile Animal Shelter in Dartmouth.
