Elsie Isabel Hines

Hines, Isabel passed away with her family by her side on September 26, 2013 in Oakwood Terrace, Dartmouth. Born in Eastern Passage on June 2, 1921 she was a daughter of the late Alfred and May White. She was employed at the Royal Bank for over 25 years until her retirement in 1984. She was an avid alley bowler for many years, enjoyed lawn bowling and loved to travel. Family was very important to Isabel and she enjoyed spending time with them. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by one daughter Joanne (son in law Bill Fioratos) and three granddaughters, Vicki, Natalie and Melanie, whom she adored. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ray, two sisters Hazel Dunsworth, Minerva Naugle and brother Harry White. The family would like extend a very special and sincere thank you to all the Unit-C staff at Oakwood Terrace whose care and compassion shown to Isabel were second to none. Visitation will be held Sunday September 29, 2013, 2-4 and 7-9pm in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home Dartmouth. Funeral Service will be 11am Monday September 30, 2013 in St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Dartmouth, Rev. Frances Drolet-Smith officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall, burial will be in St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery , Eastern Passage.
