Hasting S. Simmonds

Age 62, of North Preston. Born on August 5, 1957 and passed away on April 9, 2020 at home. He was a loving father, son, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was always dancing and enjoyed life. He worked as a crossing guard.

Hasting is survived by son, Angelo Wright (Dawn), Lower Sackville, Michael Wright, Vancouver and Marlow Shea, Cole Harbour; brothers, Leroy Downey (Alfreda), Lower Sackville, Danny Simmonds (Betty), Dartmouth, Clemmie Simmonds Jr. (Wanda), Dartmouth, Albert Downey (Anne), Toronto, and Murphy Simmonds (Elizabeth), Toronto; sisters, Victoria Simmonds, North Preston, Wanda Williams (Victor), Dartmouth and Wanque Simmonds, North Preston; grandchildren, Navalle Lloyd, Dartmouth, Angelya Russell, Halifax, DaShawn Hickey, Newfoundland, Latino Felcher, Toronto, Anndraya Gero, Montreal, Synia Smith, Dartmouth, Trevell Smith, Fort McMurray, Joshua Downey (Melissa), Lower Sackville, Brittany Mercer, Halifax, Ml’Shayah, Halifax, Nyia Shea, Corner Brook and Isaiah Tobin, Corner Brook; two great grandchildren; special niece, Deangela, North Preston; god-children, Tekara Smith and Anthony Simmonds and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Landa (Patricia) Downey and parents Clemmie and Adeline Simmonds.
