Robert and family

Bev and I send our sincere sympathy for your loss of Helen. We regret we were unable to attend the service. Helen was a lovely, gracious lady, and we know she will be missed by you and all who knew her.

We will always think of Helen with fond memories.

Robert and family:

It is always sad to lose a family member and especially so to lose a wife and mother. As fellow British car club owners we, as members of the PEI club were saddened to hear of Helen's passing - we've shared a lot of good times and hospitality together over the last 15+ years.

Please accept the sincere sympathies and commiserations of myself, the executive and all the members of BMAPEI at this difficult and challenging time in the life of you and your family.

Dear Jennifer and Lenora,

I was sad to read about your mother's passing online this morning. When I think back to my childhood days on Hazelhurst St. she, along with all of you are fondly remembered. As so many others have noted, your mother had a quiet, kind and graciousness about her. Decades since Hazelhurst St, I still think of her.

I know she will live on through her children and grandchildren, but wanted you, Robbie, Heather and your father to know that she touched the lives of many others.

I will be thinking of you on Friday.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

Hi Jennifer & Lenora and family.  I'm very sorry I'm unable to attend your mom's visitation or service.  I wasn't aware she had passed until my father mentioned it to me tonight, and I'm unable to make arrangements at this late time.

I hope you can find peace through the next few difficult days.  If you hit a rough patch, trying thinking of a funny story about your mom.

Dear Lenora and family,  We were saddened to hear of Helens passing.   We always remember her gentle smile and kind words at family gatherings. What a truly lovely and gentle soul. Love Gord and Julia

Robert, Robbie, Heather, Jennifer and Lenora; Although I am unable to attend either the visitation or the funeral, many times this week I have thought of Helen and our conversations as we stood on the side of the road while our husbands played with their cars. I believe if you looked in the dictionary for the definition of a lady you would find Helen's picture. No matter the topic under discussion Helen had such a serene way about her that you found yourself relaxing just being in her presence. She is now free to walk briskly along enjoying the view as I saw her so many times on Portland Street. You will miss her but remember all the goods times and she will never be far away.

Bob, we are deeply saddened to hear of Helen's passing. She was such a wonderful lady - I enjoyed our conversations at the various BATANS events. She will be dearly missed, but certainly never forgotten. May the wonderful memories you all share help you through the difficult days ahead.

Jen, Steve, Andrew, Cam and all the Bell Family - we are so sorry for your loss. We are thinking of you all and send our love across the miles, wishing you were still 5 doors down so we could be there with you this week. Our deepest sympathies. I am so happy I had a chance to meet Helen - I will remember her as gracious and kind.

I will always fondly remember the times as kids when we (the Curren kids) would go over to Mr. & Mrs. Bell's to watch the fireworks from their backyard or partake in other Bell/Curren family events. Mrs. Bell was such a kind and caring individual, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. My sincerest condolences.

I lived across the street and on the same street for many years with the Bell's.  I always had fond memories of Mrs Bell.  To the family, my condolances to you on your loss.

I have so many fond memories of Helen. She was truly a gentle soul and for many years, she was like a second mother to me. I loved hanging out with her at the Bell's kitchen and we would exchange recipes, talk for hours about our lives, goals and dreams. She helped me through some difficult times. She shared her precious gifts of kindness patience and wisdom with everyone...and I so feel blessed to have had her and the rest of the Bell Family in my life for those many years.  We love you Helen and you will always be in our hearts...

From Eva Bustin and myself, David, we give the Mr. Bell, Heather, Robbie, Lenora, and Jennifer our deepest condolences.  We always enjoyed our interaction with her, especially when we all lived on Hazelhurst Street.  She was a wonderful lady, and she'll be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Aunt Helen was like another mother to me. She had such a calm disposition and matter of fact way of looking at life. I remember as a little girl she made me fish sticks and Chef Boy'ar Dee. She showed me how to wear a loose pony tail just like Jennifer and Lenora.  Her house had the afghan and large mosaic lamp by the window overlooking the Harbor. We got to play in the backyard under the weeping willow. She was patient as Heather and I played dress up with her wedding dress and walked down Hazelhurst street. When Grammy passed, Aunt Helen made sure I had a special momentous to remember her by. As a teen, she hosted my trips back to Dartmouth.  She never judged and always encouraged.   She was so proud of her children and taught them a spirit of generosity.  I will love her always. She has made me a better mom.
