Helen M. E. D'Arcy

D’Arcy, Helen Margaret Elizabeth - 92, formerly of the Berkeley, Dartmouth, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012, in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Dartmouth, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Robertson. She was a faithful, life-long member of Stairs Memorial United Church and a life member of the United Church Women. Helen was employed as a secretary at Eastern Command Army Headquarters in Halifax for a number of years. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Edward) Snelgrove, Dartmouth; daughter-in-law Susan (Neil) D’Arcy, Bridgewater; her dearly loved grandchildren Christopher (Jena) D’Arcy, Wakefield, P.Q., Laura Jane D’Arcy, Calgary, Scott (Jennifer) D’Arcy, Brookside and Sean (Melissa) D’Arcy, Bedford; precious great-granddaughters Summer D’Arcy, Brookside and Jasmine D’Arcy, Wakefield. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years Robert (2006), son Robert (1996) and her daughter Carolyn (1947). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30 at 11 a.m. in Stairs Memorial United Church, Rev. Sarah Reaburn officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall.
