Jean Roberts Briggs

Briggs, Jean Roberts – 82 of Dartmouth, passed away August 16, 2011 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in North Brookfield, Queens Co., NS. She was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Rawding) Crawford. Jean was a member of Evangel Pentacostal Church, she supported many charities assisting those in need. She enjoyed her gardens, flowers and backyard barbeques with her church family. She was a dedicated and loving mother of six children. She is survived by sons Dave (Jane), Bob (Fern), Mark (Kelly); daughters Linda (Jim) Francis, Pamela (Terry) Dans, Nancy (Bob) Carr; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gerald, infant son Paul Kevin, sister Joan. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday, August 18, in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place 11 am Friday, August 19, 2011 in Evangel Pentacostal Church 1412 Cole Harbour Road. Pastor Carmen Crockett officiating. Interment will take place in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Canadian cancer society.
