SWAN, John Rayne – It is with so much sadness that we announce the passing of John Rayne Swan of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, at the age of 63, after a short battle with cancer. Rayne was the youngest child of the late Jim and Mina (Jollymore), brother of the late Rick (Marilyn) and Judy (late Aubrey). Rayne was special, and will be sorely missed by his nieces and nephews - the late Teri Lee, Debbie (Stephen, Josh and Cory), Krista (Terry, Madison and Mikayla), Andrew, and David, and his beloved dog Rudy. Rayne is reunited with his infant daughter Emily, his Irish rose, whose death left a hole in his heart 25 years ago. There was something about that man I loved - a sentiment recently shared by a friend. Rayne had a lot of 'somethings' that made him unique, and interesting, and loved. He was a private man of measured words, and he used them to understand your deeper story, even if you might never understand his. Rayne's heart and soul was at Brule Point, and like the tides, his triumphs and his struggles ebbed and flowed over the years.True friends are lighthouses that stay put and light the way, and Rayne had many. Steve and Beth, Brian and Dee, Jinx, Brian and Sue, Cal, Paul to name a few. Rayne we will miss you forever. May you always walk in sunshine. May you never want for more.
