

Ed was a dutiful man who always put his family first. He studied at St. Francis Xavier and Saint Mary’s University, where he graduated with a degree in psychology. He spent his career years working for Via Rail, Social Services Nova Scotia and he spent many happy years as a customer care specialist for Concentrix. He was strong and stoic and rarely complained about anything. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is predeceased by his father William Francis Samson and his mother, Mary Flora “Florie” Samson, his brother William “Bill” Francis Junior and sisters Amelia Boudreau and Mary “Lucille” Babin.
He is survived by his wife Clara “Maire” Samson, his daughter Heather Poirier, his brothers Hyacinthe, Rene, Joseph (spouse Anna) and Alfred (spouse Connie) and by his sisters Dolares, Therese, Claire (spouse Wilfred) and Betty Anne (spouse Cetus) as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life, followed by a gathering will be held at 1pm on Friday, November 4, in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the heart and stroke foundation.
