STRUM (Thornham), Leona Elaine – 93, of Dartmouth. Leona passed away peacefully Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Oakwood Terrace Nursing Home. Born in Dartmouth she was the daughter of the late Harold and Alice (Berrigan) Thornham. Leona worked for many years in the office of the Dartmouth Marine Slip and was a whiz with figures. She was very talented in the music field having been a member of Christ Church Choir many years with a wonderful voice as well as being a terrific piano player. She will be sadly missed by her remaining siblings Audrey (Arthur) Hartlen; Gwen Dares; Peggy (Calvin) Dobson and Harold “Brud” (Faye) Thornham; a Step-Son Peter (Dorothy) Strum of Ottawa, a Step-Grandson and a Great Step-Granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, Brother Robert, Sisters Marguerite, Evangeline, Hallie and Joan. Cremation has taken place, funeral arrangements are pending.
