Lois Jean Reesor

Reesor, Lois Jean – 88 of Dartmouth. Lois passed away on March 13, 2014 at Ocean View Nursing Home. Born in Halifax Lois was the daughter of the late David (Scotty) and Amy (Allen) Wright, also of Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Reesor and brother in law, Homer Lord. Lois is survived by her sons, Billy Reesor, of Dartmouth, Bobby (Brenda) Reesor, of Dartmouth; grandson, Mark Reesor, of Halifax; sister, Betty Lord, of Halifax; nieces, Leslie, of Halifax and Krista (Craig), of Toronto. Lois loved her sons deeply, adored her grandson and was a wonderful, loving sister. She was unfailingly cared for by her husband Bill prior to entering Ocean View and until he died. Her son Billy continued to provide daily contact and care during her years at Ocean View. Lois was educated in Halifax and worked for the Royal Bank until her retirement, after which she maintained many connections with former colleagues and customers. She was a very active member of the Dartmouth Sportsplex where she participated in many activities throughout the years. Lois was a very social and engaging person, kind and thoughtful to her many lifetime friends and acquaintances. Sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Ocean View Nursing Home who provided respectful and dedicated care as Lois struggled with dementia. Cremation has taken place under the care of A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
