

Age 86, of Dartmouth, passed away September 27, 2021 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lauretta (Martell) Keigan. Survived by children, Carolyn (David) Melvin; Denise Moore, Sharon Moore, Joanne Gourlay, Deanna Moore, Barbara Billington (Mike), and Dougie Proude; step-children, Debbie Proude and Michael Proude; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by longtime partner, Mickey Proude; son, John Moore; brothers, Walter, Thomas and Harry; sister-in-law, Linda Proude; granddaughter, Alicia Proude. Loretta was an avid bowler, bowling many years for Bowladrome and then for B & B Locksmiths. She spent many summers in Sherwood Forest with friends and family. Loretta was an administrative assistant from 1979-2008, she retired from Halifax Longshoremen’s Association for which she worked many ball tournaments to support the workers and their families. Special thanks to 4th floor west staff of Dartmouth General Hospital for their care and compassion. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
