Margaret Marie Daniels

The family of Margaret Marie Daniels (Stiles) 95 of Dartmouth, NS sadly wish to announce her passing at Dartmouth General Hospital on June 22, 2014. Born and raised in Aulac, NB she was the eldest daughter of the late Dorothy Evelyn (Wright) of Melbourne, England and the late Chesley Reid Stiles of Upper Nappan NS. Margaret is survived by her two loving and caring daughters Vonda (Bruce) Hansom, of Dartmouth and Shawna (Brian) Kearley, of Eastern Passage. She is survived by her sister, Mauritius MacPhee of Petitcodiac NB; son in law Ron Dodge; sister in law Karen Barnes; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Crane Daniels of Windsor Forks; step daughter Donna Dodge of Halifax; three brothers, Eric, Bill and Doug, sisters Gladys Bishop and baby Hilda. In 1958 following 20 years of service with Zellers, Mom retired to raise her family. She enjoyed life to the fullest, through volunteering, gardening, travel, bridge clubs, curling and entertaining her many friends and extended family at her beloved cottage at Amherst Shore NS. She was also a member of Grace United Church for more than 40 years. In later years Mom educated herself as much as possible to ensure she was not a prisoner to her long standing family history of Parkinson Disease. Mom’s strength, guidance and example will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. No visiting by request. Family flowers only, donations to the charity of choice or the Parkinson’s Society. A memorial service will be held on Monday July 28, 2014 at 1pm in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth, NS.
