Age 92, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on December 20,2022 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Dartmouth, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Synnott) Vickery. Marie was an amazing mother and grandmother who loved her family above all else. With her husband Jim, she enjoyed travelling to Florida in the winter months and in the summer, packing a lunch and heading out on day trips around Nova Scotia. Marie stayed home to raise her three children and was also a talented seamstress, making beautiful drapes that would hang in many homes throughout the city.
Survived by her children Debbie Boudreau (Frank), Scott (Cheryl), Mary-Jane Kiley (Basil) and beloved grandchildren Marc, Ryan, Kimberly, Kirk, Daniel and Nicholas and great grandson Sebastian.
Also left to mourn her passing is her loving sister Claire Brown (Bob). Marie was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Jim, brothers Tommy, Bernie and Jimmy.
Cremation has taken place. A family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Marie's memory can be made to the Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice.
