Age 73, of Dartmouth. It is will great sadness that we announce the passing of Duke MacKinnon in the Halifax Hospice on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Michael Sylvester and Elizabeth Catherine (Flood) MacKinnon. Leaving to mourn and miss him greatly are his wife, Theresa (Burke); daughters, Karen Ibbott (Greg), Richmond, BC, Cheryl Tataryn (Dean), Kemptville, ON, Kelly Robson (Jason), Karen Neville (Brad), Barbara Chase (Steve) all of Cole Harbour; sister, Sylvia, Largo, Florida and Cole Harbour; brother, Jim (Marie), Penticton, BC; 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Paul and granddaughter Samantha, both in infancy. There will be no service at this time, mass and burial at a later date.
