Son of William and Ella (Manette) Cribby. Dad loved his family and will be remembered as a caring and giving father and as “Uncle Noble” to many. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Frances Celeste, and survived by sons: Gary, Kevin (Debbie) and Paul (Fatima), all of Dartmouth, 9 loving grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Dad grew up in Woodside and his first job was at the Acadia Sugar Refinery. He was never very fond of school and could often be found wandering the woods around his home with his dog, Doc. He thought nothing of walking from his home in the Sugar Refinery houses in Woodside to his Uncle Sid’s farm in Cole Harbour. In his sixties and early seventies, he could still walk 36 holes of golf with his buddies at Hartlens Point every day. He learned to downhill ski in his seventies. Dad was a well known musician and played drums in the Noble Cribby Orchestra as well as the Dixie Tech Seven. Dad was active up until the time of his death.
We are honoured to announce that as our Father passed out of this world, new life has entered in. Four weeks prior to his parting he met his latest great granddaughter, Ella, named after Dad’s mother. Then last week because of the work being done in Guatemala by a group of missionary personnel from our region, including his daughter-in-law, Fatima, a newborn boy was christened William, after our father. Dad had donated to this local birthing center. Thank you so much.
Any donations can be made:

The viewings will be on Tuesday, Nov. 23rd at Mattatall’s on Portland St in Dartmouth from 2 to 4 Pm and from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral will be held at St. Albans Anglican Church on Pleasant St in North Woodside on Wednesday Nov. 24th at 10 AM.
