TAYLOR, Orville James - 86, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on October 9, 2010 in Camphill Veteran’s Memorial Building. Born in Petrolia, Ontario, he was the son of the late Leonard and Mae Taylor. He was a member of the RCA Band, Windsor Park, and the Stadacona Band. Orville played trumpet at many functions, including entertaining troops in many countries including Korea and in many local dance bands. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Norma; son, Peter (Rosemary), Dartmouth; daughter, Anne Brannan (Jim), Bridgewater; former daughter-in-law, Pam Taylor, Dartmouth; grandsons, Adam, Chris, Jimmy, Matthew, Tim (Natasha); niece, Linda. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Norman and Ken; sister, Viola; grandson, Colin. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 1:30pm in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home Chapel, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth.
