COX, Phyllis Harriett It is with sad hearts, we announce the passing of our dear nanny. She passed away peacefully on March 10, 2015. Born September 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Edgar A. and Inez M. (Bezanson) Manuel. Nanny enjoyed the many things life had to offer, but cherished her grandchildren and their ever growing families the most. She loved making crafts with her niece Diane and homemade bread for all to enjoy. She could often be found at her favorite fishing hole, The Mill Pond or picking blueberries for jams to go with her delicious homemade bread. Everyone called her nanny. She was from a large family that grew up in Halifax. She was close to her brother Earl and his daughters Donna and Cheryl. She was the last surviving member of her siblings. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford C. Cox (1994). She is survived by her son Barry R. Lohnes, Patricia Lohnes and their children; Carla (Steve), Carolynn (Herb), Robin (Shannon) and Matthew (Amanda); 10 great-granddaughters; LaRae, Chelsae, Kaylee, Ashley, Brittany, Brittani, Frencesca, Sophia, Lillyana and Seaenna; one great-great-grandson Jacob; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She left us with many wonderful childhood memories of times spent at her fun home on a small farm with animals and gardens in Dean Settlement. Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at a later date in Sharon Presbyterian Church in Dean Settlement. Internment will take place at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in Phyllis’s memory may be made to IWK Neo Natal Unit. Online condolences may be viewed or sent to: www.mattatallfuneralhome.com
