

Blair, Richard W. – 80, Dartmouth, It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our devoted husband, father and grandfather on March 5, 2014 at the QEII Health Centre. Born in Truro on April 3, 1933 Richard was the son of the late Catherine and Henry Blair. He was predeceased by older brothers Jack, Patrick, and Harold and sisters Mary Fehr and Dorothy Williamson and is survived by older sisters Helen Rousseau and Teresa Blair.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Martha (Thompson) and by his daughters Jennifer (Tom Myketyn) and Belinda (Mark Stach) and son Craig; and grandchildren, Caitlyn, Kevin, Brett, Tara, Alyse and Konrad.
Richard retired from the Dept. of Transportation in 1991 as Regional Accountant with the Coast Guard Division. He was an avid gardener and sports enthusiast who played softball and bowled, which he did well into his later years.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life from 2-4pm on Monday March 10th at the A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St., Dartmouth.
