Robert Joseph Kimball

Born in Sandusky, Ohio he was the only son of Belle Holmes (Dunlop) and Perlyn Kimball. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Josephine (McCarthy). Together they raised and are survived by seven (7) children, - Sons, Michael (Rita), Truro; Robert (Judy),Dartmouth; Donald (Sandra), S. Brookfield; Christopher (Florence), Lawrencetown; Daughters, Pat MacKinnon (Bill), Dartmouth; Maria Fraser (Doug), Dartmouth; Kathleen Costain (Wayne), Dartmouth and 16 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. Bob will also be sadly missed by his companion June Poole. Bob loved being a member of the Gyro Int Friendship Club and the was proud recipient of their highest honor, the Merit Award. He was also a proud member of the Austenville Owls Club. He had a life long interest in politics and spent 28 years as the Provincial Returning Officer for Dartmouth South and was Past President of the Harbour City Credit Union, where he received an award for 50 years of service. He worked for 21 years at Fairey Aviation followed by many years as a local business owner . Bob loved to travel and when he wasn't travelling, he could be found planning his next adventure.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 6th at Church of the Holy Spirit (Gaston Road, Dartmouth) followed immediately by a reception at the Austenville Owl's Club, 34 Oakdale Crescent., Dart. A private interment will be held at St. George's Cemetery, Head of St. Margaret's Bay at a later date. Donations may be made to Church of the Holy Spirit or charity of your choice.
