BONA, Shawn Michael-July 26, 1974-June 7, 2011. It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden and tragic death of Shawn Bona. He was the beloved common-law husband of Kimberley Parsons of Colpton, N.S.; proud father of Justin, Jessica, Marissa, Jordan, Joshua and Ashley. He is survived by his mother and father Amy and Cyril Bona of Eastern Passage, N.S., sister Susan Bona-Landry (brother in-law David Landry) of Peterborough, ON, brother David Bona of Bridgewater, brother Daniel Poirier of Mount Uniacke, mother-in-law Diane Parsons of Halifax, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by Douglas Parsons Sr. (father-in-law) of Colpton, NS and Douglas Parsons Jr. (brother-in-law) of Edmonton, AB. The memorial service for Shawn is to be held at Mattatall’s Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street , Dartmouth on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 2 pm.
