Valda Mary Wiseman

courageous battle with cancer. Born in Humbermouth, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Lidstone. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Doug.

She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed travelling back to Newfoundland. Valda and Doug loved to travel and enjoyed cruises in particular. Valda was committed to her church and volunteered in various roles throughout the years.

Valda is survived by her son, Jamie and daughter, Joy, sister, June Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by Riley, their beloved Shih Tzu who brought her years of happiness.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 13 from 5pm-8pm at A.L Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth. Service will be held at the same location at 2pm on Saturday, October 14th.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the nurses of the 5th floor east at the Dartmouth General for their care.
