Beuree, Wayne C.- it is with profound sadness and loss that the family announces the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, on May 6, at the age of 71. Wayne fought a long and courageous battle against prostate cancer and associated medical problems. He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Grace (Bishop), son Blair (Kathy) and grandchildren, Angela and family, Megan and Martin, Bloomfield Ridge, NB; daughter, Tara Lynn Beuree-Edwards (Michael) and precious grandchildren Nicholas and Natasha, Dartmouth. He is also survived by brother-in-law, Dave Denette and niece Ruth (Dan) Ziobron and family, Connecticut, USA, twin nieces, Michelle (Adam) Arthur, Dartmouth, NS, and Melissa (Russell) Amirault, Central Argyle, NS and their families; sister-in-law, Millie MacDonald and family, Antigonish, NS; and brother in law, Charles, Vancouver, BC. An only child he was predeceased by his parents Cyril and Bernice (Jennings) Beuree of Timberlea; sister-in-law, Georgina Denette and brother-in-law, Fred Bishop.
Wayne will be sorely missed as a friend and mentor to many people in the business of risk management insurance in which he worked for 40 years prior to his retirement, specifically the Insurer’s Advisory Organization. His wise counsel was sought because of his ethical and conscientious viewpoint in business and in life.
He happily spent his retirement years travelling and escaping the winter months in Florida with dear friends, walking, golfing and gardening in his spare time. He especially wanted to acknowledge his deep friendship with Ann and Jim Robichaud, Kingston, ON, Bob and Doreen Arbeau, Cambellton, NB, Brenda and Tom Nutter, Truro, and Linda and Robert MacKay, Montreal, PQ. Wayne was a member of Atlantic Masonic Lodge #103 and Sircom Lodge #14.
Thank you to Dr. Lori Wood and Dr. John Grantmyre and the doctors and nurses (Lisa) in the ICU at the Victoria General Hospital. Your care an guidance has been wonderful.
Cremation will take place. By Wayne’s own wishes there will be no visitation or public funeral service. Interment with family members only will take place at a later date in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax.
