Alice M. Danielsen

Alice M. Danielsen, 92, of Saint Charles, MO, formerly of Davenport; passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in Saint Charles. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Saturday, from 12 noon until the service. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Alice was born March 5, 1924 in Davenport; the daughter of Elmer H. and Lydia A. (Meye) Jager. She was united in marriage to Raymond Danielsen on June 2, 1944 in Davenport.

Alice had a strong faith and had been a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church for over 90 years and had perfect Sunday School attendance.

She had supported the WWII effort working at the Arsenal. Later she was employed at Moreway, Turnstyle, and Venture departments stores. Alice was a devoted mom and wife and loved spending time with family and friends. She welcomed people in to her home and never let anyone leave hungry. She was a hard worker and loved life, playing cards, and dancing. She was an avid Chicago Bulls and Cubs fan.

Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband of almost 72 years, son Russell (Barb) Danielsen, Corydon, IA, daughter Deborah (Roger) Schneider, St. Charles, Missouri; son in law Paul (Gwen) Middeke; grandchildren, Curt Danielsen, Phoenix, AZ, Katie (Brad) Rose, West Des Moines, Scott (Misty) Schneider, St. Charles, Laura (Kevin) Benson, St. Louis, MO, Jason Middeke, Lake Mary, FL, Jessica (Ben) Middeke, St. Charles, MO, and Jeff (Lisa) Middeke, St. Charles, MO; great grandchildren, Jeff and Kari Rose, Reagan, Luke and Benjamin Schneider, William and Aidan Benson and Charlotte and Adrian Middeke; sister Sandra (John) Hoelzen, Davenport, nieces Heather Hoelzen, and Christine (David) Fowler; great niece Amanda Folwer; and nephews, Matt, Jeff (Kim) and Greg Jager.

She was preceded in death by parents, daughter Donna Middeke, and siblings Jan and Harold Jager.
