Alice A. Noles-Burns

Graveside services for Alice A. Noles-Burns, 86, of Davenport will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2010 in the mausoleum chapel at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Per her wishes, there will be no visitation. Mrs. Burns died on Sunday, October 17, 2010, at Trinity Medical Center in Bettendorf, IA. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.Alice A. Shreves was born in Karnak, IL on March 10, 1924, the daughter of George and Mabel (Thomas) Shreves. In 1942, she married Bruce Noles. He preceded her in death in 1963. Mrs. Burns owned and operated Noles Nursing Home for 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Davenport. She loved to travel, and most importantly spending time with her family.She is survived by a Daughter: Betty (Martin) Eberhart of Davenport; a Son: Lannie (Carol) Noles of Ft. Pierce, FL; two Sisters: Helen Larrison of Metropolis, IL, Georgia (Eugene) McIntosh of Boaz, IL; a Sister-in-Law: Lois Shreves of McCausland, IA; 9 Grandchildren, 12 Great-grandchildren, and 2 Great-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Larry Noles; two sisters: Dorothy Mae Shreves and Wilma “Sissy” Larrison; and a brother: Melvin Shreves.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
