Allan Bruce Lund was born February 4, 1947. Fortunately, he came into our lives thirteen years ago. Our family welcomed him and instantly fell in love with this gentle giant. Handicapped from an accident years before, it never prevented him from doing everyday tasks. His determination and love of helping others was contagious. His most known talents were that of a scroll saw artist and woodworking trade. Over the years, he had designed many projects to different places in our community. He had a special admiration for our local Police and Fire Departments. He would make special wooden plaques for fallen officers or injure firefighters. He gave many pieces he made as gifts to those he cared about. Each piece was unique.
He enjoyed people and helping where he could. Allen would plant gardens, paint, build or whatever else he could do to help someone. He also enjoyed people and talking to them, learning about their lives and where they had been. He often took long rides on his scooter downtown talking with people, shaking hands, and just enjoying his moments. He was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He loved barbeques, baseball games, anything that involved family, fun and laughter. Allen adored Sherry and loved her as a daughter. Mary Christmas, his life partner was the love of his life. She preceded him in death July 2016. Above all his grandchildren where the biggest joys in his life.
Those left cherishing his memory include his step-daughter, Sherry (Daniel Horton, Jr.) Smith; daughter, Gina Lund Crippen; siblings: Terry Lund, George Lund, Jr., Dolores Strabley and Connie Claussen and grandchildren: Bryson Williams, Hannah Williams, Ryan Smith and Christopher Smith.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Mary Christmas.
