

Annette Bernice Carlin, 101, of Alma, MI, formerly of Davenport, IA passed away at 12:00 noon on June 28, 2010 at the Masonic Pathways in Alma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the mortuary. Burial will be at Mt. Annette was born on March 26, 1909 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Axel and Anna (Skoglund) Christenson. She had two brothers, Harold and Elmer, and a sister, Gladys Morrell. All are deceased. Annette married William Francis Carlin on May 21, 1930. He preceded her in death in February of 1985.
Annette was raised in Moline, IL and graduated from Moline High School in 1927. She was formerly employed at Modern Woodmen and Rock Island Arsenal. She attended the Bethel United Methodist Church. She resided in Davenport at 2409 Farnam from 1940 to 2006. She was a talented seamstress, a good cook and did enjoy her family.
Her children and their spouses are Dolores (Carlin) and Dennis Lemkau, MI; William J. Carlin (deceased) and Doris, CO. Her grandchildren are William Carlin, CO; Linda Eggers (Gary), CO; Todd (Kim), Tom (Jenny) and Troy Lemkau, MI. She has nine great grandchildren; Gwen Fontaine; Billy and Tristan Lemkau; Jessica, Ashley and Emily Lemkau, MI; Nicole Y’Barro; Landon and Preston Eggers, CO.
