Audrey L. Reynolds

Audrey L. Reynolds, 80, of Bettendorf died Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport. Funeral services will be Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11:30 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bettendorf Public Library or the Children of Promise International Sutton Support-Guatemala, 6844 Loop Road Centerville, Ohio 45459. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com. Audrey was born June 14, 1933 in Eldon, IA; the daughter of Floyd and Ellen “Fern” (Harvey) Boyd. She was united in marriage to Darrell “Sam” Reynolds on January 5, 1953 in Ottumwa, IA. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Mohassen Cauldron. Audrey was valedictorian of the 1951 graduating class at Eldon High School. She earned an Associate’s Degree in computer programming at Scott Community College after raising her children. She enjoyed her exercise classes at CASI and was the champion of Wii bowling in the family. She loved the library and was fortunate to work part-time at the Bettendorf Public Library for many years after retiring from Mustang Units in Eldridge. She also had worked at Kartridg Pak in Davenport. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Darrell “Sam”, Bettendorf, daughters: Peggy (Lee) Hale, Bettendorf; Becky (Tom) Ott, Moline, Vickie (Norman) Sutton, Guatemala; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren: Linus, Crosby and Daisy and sisters Evelyn Little and Viola Stevens. Her parents and a brother Everett Boyd preceded her in death.
