Barbara Jean Kendall

DeWitt, IA Funeral services for Barbara Jean Kendall, 93, of DeWitt, will be 1:00 pm on Monday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island. Family will greet friends on Monday from 11:00 am to service time at the mortuary. Cunnick - Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.Barbara passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at West Wing Place Nursing Home, Dewitt, IA.Barbara Jean Heimbach was born on April 6, 1924 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Daniel and Daisy (Gobels) Heimbach. She married Fred Kendall in 1947 in Kansas City. He preceded her in death in 1999. She had worked as an Optition in San Fransico, CA, from 1943-1945, and in Des Moines until 1955. Then she moved to Davenport and worked at Mercy Hospital for 20 years. Survivors include her sons; Mark (Robin) Kendall and John (Kathy) Kendall, all of Davenport, daughter; Kathleen (William) Kendall-Ganoe of Eldridge, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and sons, Steve Kendall and Ed Kendall.Memorials may be made to Humility of Mary, Davenport.
