Benjamin Franklin Peterson, Jr. , 82, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 4:30 – 6:30 pm with a short prayer service at 6:30 pm on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Runge Mortuary. According to his wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Ben was born on April 14, 1933 in Des Moines, IA, the son of Benjamin Franklin and Florence (Coffin) Peterson. He was united in marriage to Linda Wiseman. Ben developed Byron Woods in Port Byron and was proud to have established Peterson and Associates.
Ben was a Mason and member of the Blue Lodge. He loved boating and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; daughter, Christi (Scott) Engel, Lake Villa, IL; and two grandchildren, Anna and Jack Engel, Lake Villa, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
