Betty A. Holle Herman

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday December 16, 2023 at the Runge Mortuary with visitation one hour prior. Her final resting place will be in St. Ann Cemetery in Long Grove, IA. Memorials may go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Betty’s name.

Betty was born in Boone, IA on January 6, 1929. She was the daughter of Orvel and Violet (Harvey) Sparks. She married Edward Holle on July 1, 1948 in Clinton Iowa. During their marriage Ed served in the United States Navy. The family was stationed in Alaska, Hawaii, Philippines Islands and San Diego California to name a few. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1979.

Betty enjoyed playing cards, sewing, baking and gardening. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Elizabeth Bates, Preston, IA, Jeff (Joy), Davenport, IA, and Theresa Boley, Bettendorf, IA; along with 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Edward, Betty, was preceded in death by a son, Joe, daughter, Nan Sorensen, two brothers and five sisters.
