Bonnie K. Hurd

Bonnie was born on January 3, 1949 to Emil and Betty Louise (Funk) Lindgren in Waterloo, IA. She was united in marriage to Dean Hurd on November 2, 1968. He passed away on June 1, 2014. She worked for many years at the Rock Island Arsenal and later worked at Big 10 Mart.

Bonnie liked playing games on her computer and made many friends who shared the same hobby. She also loved to cross-stitch and adored her cats. In her younger years, her grandparents would take her to Minnesota every year and it gave her a passion for fishing which she had her entire life. She loved to celebrate Christmas, it was her favorite holiday. Bonnie was an active member of New Life Baptist Church with her son, Christopher.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Christopher Hurd of Davenport, IA; two grandchildren; brother, Harold (Karen) Lindgren of Arnold, MO; sisters, Barbara (David) Ford of Davenport, IA, and Beverly Ely of Mesa, AZ; nieces and nephews: Kimberly (Shawn) Moore of Holland, MI, David (Amber) Ford of Davenport, IA, Steven Ford of Fort Dodge, IA, Zach (Margarete) Ford of Lillington, NC, Brian Ely of Mesa, AZ, Melissa Ely of Mesa, AZ, Nick Jones of Clinton, IA, Ashley Jones of Arnold, MO, and Adam Jones of Arnold, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
