Bonnie Nimrick

Bonnie M. Nimrick, 72, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Genesis East Medical Center. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Runge Mortuary is assisting her family.

Bonnie was born April 1, 1951 in Kewanee, IL, the daughter of Donald and Alta (Johnson) Nimrick. She married James Nyert of Kewanee, IL. They divorced. She later married Jerry Cargo and he preceded her in death.

In earlier years in Kewanee, she worked as a house cleaner. After moving to Davenport, her and her husband, Jerry owned and operated their own contracting company.

She loved older Country music, cooking, and watching lifetime movies. She enjoyed being around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A generous woman with a soft heart, Bonnie will be deeply missed!

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Jamie Whitcher, Jeanette Nyert, both of Kewanee, IL and Jeremy Nimrick, Davenport, grandchildren,: Robert Whitcher, Madison Abbot and Dion McNeal; several great grandchildren; brother, Buck Nimrick, Kewanee and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Jerry, her parents and seven siblings.
