

Charles Roy Cassatt, Sr., 84, of Bonita Springs, FL, formerly of Davenport, died November 4, 2011 in Ft. Myers, FL. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 2:30 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Private inurnment will follow. Charles was born August 14, 1927 in Bloomfield, IA, the son of Harold E. and Chole M. (Carruthers) Cassatt. He served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict.
He worked at Alcoa for thirty-one years and retired as a supervisor on March 1, 1986. He was a member of the Aloca Retirement Club and a fifty year member of the Davenport Masonic Lodge #37.
He was united in marriage to Gail Hansen on September 11, 1948; she preceded him in death on April 4, 1984. He married Dell Wilford on January 24, 1986; she preceded him in death on August 7, 2007.
Those left to honor his memory include his children: Charlene (Dennis) Stanford, Bloomington, IL; Dianna (Michael) Hayes, Loyal, WI; LuAnn (James) Mumey, Bettendorf, IA and Rhonda Rylant, East Moline and her fiancé Terry Thomas; grandchildren: John (Shyla) Stanford, Jason and James Stanford; Sam (Jackie) Hayes, Stewart Hayes; Scott (Dawn) Mumey; Julie (Jim) Buechel; Jennifer (Brandon) Morgan; great grandchildren: Hannah, Noah and Austin Stanford; Sierra, Samantha, Tucker and Emily Hayes; Ryan, Jacob and Elijah, Mumey; Lauren and Abby Buechel; Trisha Hayes; Mikela Munguia; Haley Hayes; and good friends: Leo and Shirley Ruth; Keith Garrett, Les and Lynn Anderson and Jim and Ruth Carney.
His parents, son, Charles Jr., and brothers, Harvey and Junior preceded him in death.
