Charles Marcus Moore

Charles Marcus Moore, 71, of Walcott passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Trinity Bettendorf. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Wilder Cemetery, Somerset Township, Missouri. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Gramma’s Kitchen, Walcott from 12 noon-2:30 pm on Wednesday February 1, 2012. He was born April 18, 1940 in Perry, Iowa, the son of Frank and Leta (May) Moore. On February 14, 1993 he married Donna Border in Walcott. He retired in 2004 from the I-80 Truck Stop in Walcott. Prior to that, he had been employed by Caterpillar in Mount Joy.

Survivors include his wife Donna, two sons Kirby Moore and Craig Moore and his wife Kellie; stepdaughter Jessica Border; three granddaughters; and a sister, Carolyn Hockett.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry and Vernon.

Turn left across the tracks, through square to stop sign

Turn left (north) a short distance then right on Route M

Go a little less than four miles and turn left on Route W

Go over a small hill

Cemetery is ¼ mile on the left.
