Charles Mark Peeters, age 65, of Blue Grass, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, after a long battle of illness, surrounded by loved ones. The Runge Mortuary has been entrusted with his care.
Chuck was born on September 27, 1959, the 11th of 12 children to Everet and Annabell (Klinkrodt) Peeters and spent most of his life on Telegraph Road.
Chuck will be remembered for his quick wit, his love of NASCAR, and his never-ending supply of Pepsi. He enjoyed doing odd jobs for the people he cared about and had a special talent for building things that others thought not possible.
For many years, Chuck worked at Gless Bros Tank Wash, a locally owned business he was proud to be part of. He loved the work and the friendships he made there, especially with the late owner, whose memory he carried fondly long after the company was sold.
Above all, Chuck treasured his family, having a soft spot for all his sisters. He especially loved being a dad to his daughter, Tara, a grandpa to his granddaughter, Everlee, who brought him endless pride and joy in their short time together and loved being an uncle to all of his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Terry and Steve; his sister, Nancy McCoy; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Boldt, Don Fink, Jim McCoy and Doug Duda.
Chuck is survived by his daughter, Tara (Cory Riessen) of Schaller, IA, granddaughter Everlee, his sisters Carol Fink, Ginny Duda, Bonnie Boldt, Sally (Steven) Thoensen and Lori Hines, all of Davenport and his brothers Ronnie (Linda) of Eldridge, Dennis (Sue) of Silvis and Jim of Davenport.
