

Visitation will be Monday, March 10th from 4-7 pm at The Runge Mortuary. A celebration of her life will be Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 10 am at The Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport.
Cheryl was born in Davenport on May 5, 1948. She was the loving daughter of Kenneth John and Shirley Maxine (Goodwin) Mundt. After her mother passed away, she was blessed to have a 2nd mom, Margaret. She graduated from Davenport West High School in 1966. She then went on to earn her LPN degree from Eastern Iowa Community College in 1967.
She was united in marriage to John Ludtke to which two children were born, Kimberly and Eric. She later married the love of her life, Phillip C. Berg, on April 20, 1985. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2004.
She worked as an LPN prior to her children being born and then went to work in the office at Internal Medicine Associates. Together with her husband, Cheryl owned and operated Trackers Inc. in Davenport/Bettendorf until her retirement in 2003.
Cheryl was a devoted wife and mother. One to never know a stranger, Cheryl enjoyed crafts, reading and was known to be a meticulous housekeeper. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and loved hosting numerous family get-togethers at her home.
Those left to honor her memory include daughter, Kimberly (Kenneth) Guy, Davenport, son, Eric (Tracy) Ludtke, Davenport; grandchildren: Reagan, Kaitlyn, Rylie, Austin, Xavier, Brandon, Heather and Ryan; sisters: Christine (John) O’Neil, Ft Collins, CO and Charlene (Arn)Thode, Davenport, sisters-in-law: Nancy (Jim) Kuller, Lori (Don) Powers and Nina (Randy) Zerance; brothers-in-law: Clinton (Debbie) Berg, David (Stella) Berg, Larry Berg and Gene Honert, numerous nieces and nephews, best friend, Donna Willers and Phil’s son, Rick (Sonia) Berg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Stephanie Berg, sisters: Mary Schneckloth and Carol Honert, sisters-in-law: Marlene Grieve and Barbara Wheeler, brother-in-law, Dennis Berg and mother-in-law, Helen Berg.
A special thank you to her sister-in-law, Lori Powers for her wonderful care she gave to Cheryl. Your kindness will not be forgotten!
