Funeral services for Clifford E. Powell, 84, of Davenport will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Kahl Home in Davenport. Interment will be at Oakdale Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Davenport. Mr. Powell passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Kahl Home. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary assisted with the arrangements. Clifford Powell was born in Minneapolis, MN on July 14, 1926, the son of Frank and Hazel (Rydell) Powell. He was an only child and spent his childhood in Minnesota, Des Moines, IA and Putnam County, MO. Clifford sold magazine subscriptions while in high school and then sold novelties in Des Moines, Iowa and the Quad Cities. He retired at the age of 65.Clifford enjoyed listening to music and dancing. He enjoyed Country and Western, Jitterbug, fiddle music and banjo music.Survivors include his many friends and the staff at the Kahl Home for the Aged, Davenport.He is preceded in death by his parents.
