Consuelo R. Medina, 93, of Bettendorf, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 in Bettendorf. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday December 11, 2012 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Memorials may be made to St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bettendorf. Mrs. Medina was born September 10, 1919 in Mexico City, the daughter of Apolonio and Emiliana (Trejo) Avila. She married Luis S. Medina, also in Mexico City. He preceded her in death August 13, 1993.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Bettendorf.
Survivors include her children and spouses: Elvia and Juventino, Consuelo and Agustin, Margarita and William, Frank and Tina, Teresa and David, Marco Antonio and Shelby, and Jaime; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Laura; son-in-law, Victor; and one sister, Maria Luisa Vergara.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jose Luis Medina on February 27, 2012 and a daughter, Silvia Saldivar on October 23, 2007.
