Dan Eugene Hoffmann

Funeral services will be 10:00am Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory Davenport. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Please share condolences with the family at www.rungemortuary.com

Dan was born January 24, 1936, in Davenport, IA to Leon & Irene (Kuhlmann) Hoffmann. He was a graduate from Davenport Central High. Dan was united in marriage to M. Sharon (Brahm) Larson on August 11, 1984, in Davenport, IA. She preceded him in death on January 12, 2022. Dan was a draftsman and had worked at Riverside Architectural Metal Company for 39 years prior to his retirement in 1997.

Dan was an avid bowler, golfer, enjoyed listening to all types of music, and traveling. Dan & Sharon spent many enjoyable winters in Arizona, golfing and visiting friends.

Survivors include nieces Denise (Tommy) Spies, Debbie Lund, and nephew Eric (Gina) Hoffmann.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 35 years Mary Sharon Hoffmann, brother and sister-in-law Ronald & Patricia Hoffmann and a nephew Kurt Hoffmann.

Dan had been previously married to Marilyn Suhorepetz Hoffmann for 23 years and upon the passing of their respective spouses, had reconnected and enjoyed each other’s companionship for the last few years.
