Daniel Bryan Vrana

Daniel Bryan Vrana, 58 of Buffalo, IA passed away unexpectantly at home, in the evening hours of Tuesday July 25, 2023. Per his last wishes, cremation rites will be accorded without public services. Condolences may be shared at www.rungemortuary.com.

Daniel (AKA Danny) was born in Davenport, IA on January 4th, 1965 to Gordon D. Vrana and Charleen Raney. His three beloved siblings were Vince Vrana (Christine Vrana), Bonnie Remley (Steven Remley), and Gordon W. Vrana (Kimberly Vrana).

Daniel was married to Wanda Gilson for 26 years and shared many happy years, full of many accomplishments together. Daniel was a father of four children Ryan Vrana (Kelly Vrana), Courtney Haley (Michael Haley), Christina Vrana (Perry Ramirez), and Danielle Vrana. He was a very proud grandfather of six grandchildren Ava & Drew Vrana, Maddison & Lucas Haley, and Alexander Ramirez & Brinley Shelton. You would most commonly find him bragging about all of his kids and grandchildren, to all who would listen. But more famously, known for trying to convert them, into becoming Kansas City Chiefs fans.

Daniel was a born and raised country boy. He grew up as an avid hunter, and boy… could he tell you a million stories of "the good Ol' days of hunting"! Daniel was an excellent marksman, and found the importance in teaching hunter and weapon safety to the next generation of hunters. His love for animals, nature, and conservation was strongly apparent in his amazing and artistic talent of taxidermy. He was also known for his remarkable talent in duck/goose calling, and even participated in local calling competitions. Daniel was a proud American, proud union brother, in which he served as union president at Sears Manufacturing for many years, and a proud debater of politics, to all who would participate.

He was preceded in death by his sister Bonnie Remley, and stepfather Danny Raney.

Daniel will be greatly missed, but will never be forgotten. Go Chiefs!
