Danny L. Connell

Funeral services will be 2:30PM Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7PM at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Danny was born September 8, 1952 in Davenport to Jack & Rosemary (Parris) Connell. He was a graduate of Davenport Central High School. He served in the US Army seeing active duty in the Gulf War. Danny had worked for several years with Per Mar but more recently was working with the Boys Scouts of America where he has served as a counselor, instructor, and performed administrative duties.

Danny was a member of the Hamilton Lodge #664 where he had served as past master, the Brubaker Lodge #675, Snow Lodge # 44, & Davenport Valley Scottish Rite. He was big NASCAR fan and supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.

Survivors include his mother Rosemary King Bettendorf; brother Michael (Cathy) Connell, Aledo, Il; niece Hope Jones Hannibal, MS, Danette Barber, Davenport, and Jennifer Connell, Aledo, IL; nephew Jason (Leslie) Connell, Aledo, IL; & 14 great nieces & nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by his father Jack Connell, a brother John Connell & a sister Holly Mobley.
