

Darlene Farley, 84, departed this life and gained her wings on January 31, 2026, in Clarksville, TN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be held an hour prior to service, starting at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park.
Darlene was born to Clarence and Ida Farris on April 6, 1941, in Clarksville, Mo. Darlene attended The Farris School and Clopton High School. She retired from Ridgecrest Retirement Village after 23 years of service. Darlene was a member of Progressive Baptist Church, where she was a proud member of the Usher Board and a Deaconess.
From an early age, Darlene loved sports and was an avid softball player. She played softball on several local and church teams. She also enjoyed doing word search puzzles, reading, watching Family Feud, shopping and especially talking to family and friends.
Darlene is survived by her sisters, Annette Kyle (Richmond, VA) and Geneva Pearl (Springfield, IL); children, Charles (Tracy) Dameron (Cameron, TX), Marlene Dameron (Clarksville, TN), Benita Gooch (Davenport, IA), Brenda Derrick (Arlington, VA), Kelly Dameron (Clarksville, TN), Terry Dameron (Chicago, IL), James (Denial) Farley (Buckey, AZ), Earnest (Carlene) Farley (Lawrenceville, GA); 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earnest Farley, sisters Grace, Mary Margaret, Ruby, Alice Mae, and brothers Wilburn, Harold, Carl, Ralph and Curtis.
