Darlene M. Hart

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 8:30 am to service time. Memorials may be made in Darlene’s name to New Kingdom Trail Riders Equine Therapy Horses. Online condolences may be made at www.rungemortuary.com

Darlene was born on January 28, 1938, in Davenport, Iowa to William and Helen (Vogel) Reins. On August 24, 1957, she was united in marriage to Neal Hart. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage until his passing in 2025. Darlene dedicated her life to her husband and their four sons. She was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, and spending time with her family. Darlene was a very friendly person that could strike up a conversation with anyone. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Jim (Cathy) Hart, Kenneth Hart, William (Robin) Hart, and Steven (Rita) Hart; grandchildren, Christopher (Bryan) Hart, Eric Hart, Christopher (Katie) Davis, Summer Hart, Stephanie Hart, and Courtney Hart; great grandchildren, Gabriel Hart, Logan Abernathy, Lily Hardin, Savannah Hardin, and Hudson Davis; along with many nieces and nephews.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Neal; granddaughter, Jennifer Hart Abernathy and brother, Don Reins.
