Funeral services will be held on Monday March 24, 2025, at 11am at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be held Sunday March 23, 2025 from 4-6pm at the mortuary. Dave will be laid to rest at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Vietnam Vets Post #299. Online memorials may be made to the family at www.rungemortuary.com.
Dave was born on May 2, 1949, in Davenport Iowa to Lawrence and Hope (Daniels) Clark. On May 1, 1971, he was united in marriage to Ruth Forgie. They have enjoyed 53 years of marriage. Dave loved spending time with his family and cherished those times above all. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed grilling, playing with his dog Shelby, working in his yard and meeting up with old friends at V.F.W..
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife; children, David (Christina) Clark, Kelly Spooner; grandsons, Dylan Genz and Jackson Spooner and siblings, Larry (Linda) Clark and Rebecca (Matt) Cumberworth.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
