

Debra J. “Shorty” Drumm, 52, of Davenport passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with a long illness in the best of care at Select Specialty Hospital. Memorial service will be held Monday, January 23, 2012, 3:00p.m. at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities. Everyone is welcome to wear purple to Deb’s service in honor of her memory. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the church. The Runge Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with final arrangements. Deb was born May 29, 1959 in Sioux City, Iowa
She was a loyal member of Metropolitan Community Church of the Quad Cities for over 30 years and has served as a Deacon of MCC-QC.
She was an avid pet lover, craft-maker and talented cross-stitch maker, as well as the biggest Vikings fan. She was devoted to her kitty, “Boo”.
Those celebrating her life are her life partner of 17 years, Beth McMahon; father , Don Drumm; stepfather, Jim Grizzle; son, Danniel Drumm; daughters, Darlene (Jeff) Mizner, Essie Meek, and Lindsey McMahon; former daughter-in-law, Christa; 3 brothers, 4 sisters; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson; several very special aunts, uncles, and great aunts and uncles; and several nephews and nieces; as well as very special friend, Mary. She was lovingly known as “Me-maw” or “Granny “D” to her grandchildren and “Biggo” to her sisters.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene (Inskeep) Grizzle, her brother Danny Lee, and her grandparents.
